OVSD Child Development Programs

MISSION STATEMENT

The Ocean View School District provides programming that meets the educational, cultural, and social needs of the community. Program services will be provided in a professional, courteous and ethical manner, to me the needs of the children and families while promoting the value of cultural diversity.

Kids' Club and F.L.Y. provide children with experiences in arts, sports, exercise, music and nutrition. Our goals are to develop social skills and increase positive self-esteem.  The program provides activities that are age appropriate, while allowing individual choices.

Staffing

The Expanded Learning Programs (Kids' Club and F.L.Y.) are staffed by employees of the Ocean View School District to ensure quality care. Staff are CPR and First Aid Certified.

Who do we serve?

Services are provided to children attending school at the school sites where Kids' Club and F.L.Y. programs are located.

Extended Year Program

An optional program is offered during Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer recess.  It is available to children who are enrolled in EK through eighth grades.

Each week there are a variety of activities.  These include crafts, games, science, and experiments based on a central theme.  Study trips are included for children to enjoy.
